Not really spotlighting one single couple, but we decided to sweep the rest of the couples (and their best clips) into one final mega-post to prepare for this season's premier!
QUICK POLL
Roseanne Barr ("Roseanne")
Roseanne & Tony have been getting along well in training. Roseanne feels fairly confident she will stick around due to Tony's recent success with Reba McEntire.
" You know, I get that dancing at this age and in this physique, I'm obviously at a disadvantage here. But I have to put full faith in the fans who vote for the underdogs to pull me and Tony through week in and week out. I'd love to be Tony's third champion!"
- Roseanne Barr
Below is a 1993 clip of one of the funniest moments from Roseanne's self-titled sitcom. Enjoy!
Mark-Paul Gosselaar ("Saved By The Bell")
Possibly our most iconic TV male, Mark-Paul (AKA SBTB's 'preppy' Zach Morris) is slipping on some dancing shoes and pairing with Lacey Schwimmer, who's been paired with icons herself (Ringo Starr ring a bell?). Mark-Paul feels he's in good hands!
"Lacey is crazy! But she's the right amount of crazy. I'm hoping I can keep up with her because I really want to prove to myself that I can do this dancing thing! I'm really anxious to see if I still have that fanbase from all those years ago!"
- Mark-Paul Gosselaar
Below is 1989 Saved By The Bell clip (notice DWTS alums Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley Lauren!) of one of Zach Morris' many comical antics! Take a look!
Chyler Leigh ("Grey's Anatomy")
Chyler Leigh is mostly known as the undeniably lovable Lexie Grey, a quirky addition to the medical drama Grey's Anatomy in it's fourth season. We absolutely love her! How could we not be crushed when she was killed off in a plane crash in last year's season finale? Anyways - she pairs with Derek Hough, who despite heading toward DWTS win #5 in reality, has only won the DWTSGame once with Sandra Bullock over 2 years ago.
"Getting Derek as a partner is really nerve wracking. I mean, it puts way too much pressure on me to do well! Err! I sure hope that I at least do well. Once I start to improve, then I can set my sights on winning that virtual trophy! I'm determined to make my GA fans proud!"
- Chyler Leigh
So how could we not bring up Lexie's death again? Below is the heartbreaking 2012 scene in which we are forced to say goodbye to Chyler's character. What a powerful performance!
Phil McGraw ("Dr. Phil")
Well, do we really need to introduce you to Dr. Phil? Odds are you've been living under a rock if you're unaware of who this psychological doctor famous for his own long-running talk show is. He pairs with first time pro Emma who in reality is nearing a DWTS trophy with 56 year old Blue Collar comedian Bill Engvall. Phil says he is nervous and anxious for this experience at the same time!
"It took me a few good drinks to agree to do this. I mean, putting myself out there to the nation like that will be a first for me. I'm trying my best to make sure none of you think I'm awful, but damn, it's enough to drive someone to the nut house! Wish me and Emma luck is all I can say!"
- Phil McGraw
Below is a clip (damned if we knew when it was from!) of Phil's iconic and infamous show!
Bridgit Mendler ("Good Luck Charlie")
Disney darling Bridgit Mendler is widely known as charismatic older sister Teddy Duncan on the Disney Channel hit Good Luck Charlie. But did you know she was the star of her own WIDELY popular Disney Channel movie, Lemonade Mouth? Or that her pipes have leant her 2 hit singles from her debut album with Hollywood records? Sure seems that Bridgit is on her way to big things! Bridgit tells us that she intends to be one of Mark's most determined partners!
"I am so competitive. With others and with myself... Maybe myself especially. I'm tackling this challenge head-on with Mark and I could not be more excited. People automatically assume Disney stars have the upper hand on this show, and that's just not it in my case. Have you seen Good Luck Charlie? I dance like a clumsy clown. But I'm willing and excited to improve on this, definitely! Look out fellow icons!"
- Bridgit Mendler
So Bridgit sure sounds like a fierce competitor! But below is a clip of her as spunky and funny Teddy Duncan from Good Luck Charlie!
Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad")
Yeah, b****! Aaron Paul (AKA Breaking Bad's Jesse Pinkman) finally heads to the dance floor with Sharna Burgess, just coming off a long run with fan favorite, Columbine survivor Craig Scott. Aaron is through the roof with excitement for being paired with such a capable pro. He hopes he can get her far!
"You know, I just love Sharna. We've gotten to know each other so well. She and my wife get along great, too. I feel like she's part of the family. We're putting so much time and effort into this first dance and for it to not come out pleasing would be devastating to me. I aim to please!"
- Aaron Paul
Aww! Aaron could not be sweeter. But on Breaking Bad you'd think he's anything but. Here is a compilation of clips of Jesse Pinkman's infamous phrase!
Naya Rivera ("Glee")
Again, you're probably a cave-dweller if you're unaware of the show this diva comes from. Naya Rivera plays the especially feisty latina cheerleader Santana Lopez on the musical dramedy Glee! Partner Artem (who returns for just the 5th time to the game) is ecstatic at having such an amazingly talented partner!
"Artem and I don't seem like we'd go together well. He's such a gentleman and I probably come off as a class-A b**** from the streets, but I swear, we're getting along phenomenally. I love him to death and he is amazing! He's such a good choreographer, too! It's just our first dance and he's already throwing the tough stuff at me! I can't wait to show everyone how good he and I are!"
- Naya Rivera
Naya is definitely not as nasty as she may think she is! In fact, she is pretty emotional. Below is a very recent compilation of Glee clips from an episode in which Naya (and others) pay tribute to the late Cory Monteith. Note: Naya's been receiving some Emmy buzz for this episode!
Judy Sheindlin ("Judge Judy")
Judith Sheindlin has been presiding over the court room for 17 years now on her highly rated court show, but just how exactly will she fare when she turns the judging duties over to others and she steps foot in the ball room? Judy tells us that she could about predict the outcome.
"Of course I'm not going to do amazing. I'm 71 for God's sakes. I'll just be glad to complete our first dance and not have fallen over. Henry, bless his heart, is putting up with a lot with me, and all I can ask is that your all vote for us to make it up to him! Please do so!"
- Judy Sheindlin
So below is a clip of Judge Judy at her most iconic! Take a look!
John Stamos ("Full House")
And finally we have John Stamos, who among other things, is mostly known as lovable rocker, Uncle Jesse Katsopolis, on the family-friendly sitcom Full House. John tells us he is very eager to start dancing, as his pairing with Karina could not have been more perfect!
"Karina is the one I was hoping to get when I signed up. I just feel like she and I mesh well together. I have a feeling she'll be able to get things out of me... I didn't even know where inside! Ha. Enjoy our first dance!"
- John Stamos
Below is a fun clip of John in Full House (notice DWTSGame alums Jodie Sweetin and Bob Saget!)
